VIA should justify requesting "Read your browser history" permissions and add a privacy policy, or it drop the requirement. Installing this app provides access that could easily leak sensitive corporate and personal info. I would avoid it until VIA justifies the need.

Currently, the extension doesn't work for me. I also had problems with it in the past. My only option is to use the VIA app in Windows. But, all my software, docs, and slides are in Linux. Until they get it working, possibly working together with the tech department, the extension is complete garbage.

VIA Versa has now been added to the VIA Campus models of the family and has been enhanced with additional audio and video selection options for higher flexibility. 

VIA makes it simple to livestream sessions to all the leading platforms, like YouTube™, Kaltura™, and Panopto™. Educators, as well as presenters, enjoy all the benefits of VIA’s full suite of advanced collaboration tools, while in-class and at-home participants enjoy an unparalleled immersive experience, ideal for the Covid-19 era, thanks to the new RTMP/RTMPS protocol support out of the VIA box. 

Looking at the back end of the system, VIA Site Management (VSM) has also been revamped to offer a new user experience, with a lot of great additions for easier and faster VIA device configuration and supervision. The Move to VIA Site Management on Cloud  

Configuration and connectivity for all device and platform management have also been moved to the cloud through the introduction of VSM on Cloud . This maintains the same great features of being able to monitor and manage multiple VIA devices simultaneously from a centralized location. No VPN is required when having devices spread over different physical locations or different networks, offering an optimized solution for global deployments. The move from a server to the cloud removes the requirement to host a local server in the customer’s data center and is a more cost-effective option for businesses.

Control PowerPoint presentations with your Samsung smart watch

Control the slides

That's right, you can use your watch to transition between slides instead of your computer. From the watch, navigate to your apps, and tap PPT Controller . Tap Computer , and then tap Connect . Allow your watch to be shown to other Bluetooth devices so you can connect it to your PC. Next, navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your computer and add the watch as a Bluetooth device.

Now that you are connected, you can control your slides. Open a PowerPoint presentation on your computer, and then from the watch, tap the SLIDESHOW play icon. Control the slides by tapping the right arrow. If you need to go back a slide, swipe up from the bottom of your watch screen, and then tap the left arrow .

You can also control your mouse from the watch by tapping Touchpad . This feature is not just limited to PowerPoint - you can literally use your watch as a mouse.

Set presentation alerts

If you're not great with timing while you're presenting, you can set Wrap-up alerts or Interval alerts, so you know when to move things along.

On the watch, navigate to and tap PPT Controller . Tap the Settings icon, and then select Wrap-up alert or Interval alerts .

• Wrap-up alert : Create an alert for the end time of the presentation.
• Interval alerts : Set alerts in 5-minute increments.

Create a custom ringtone on your iPhone

With GarageBand on your iPhone, you can create a ringtone from an audio file, a song from your Apple Music library, or a song that you made.

If you don’t have GarageBand on your iPhone, download it from the App Store .

On the Home screen, touch and hold the GarageBand app icon until the menu appears, then tap Create New Audio Recording.

Choose the track you want to use for a ringtone:

To use an audio file stored on your device or in iCloud, tap Files, then tap “Browse items from the Files app.”

To use a song from your Apple Music library, tap Music to find the file. The song must be downloaded to your iPhone . If the file is dimmed, it's protected or isn't downloaded to your iPhone. If the file is protected, you can't use it for a ringtone.

Touch and hold the file, then drag the file all the way to the left in the Tracks view.

To use a particular section of the song for your ringtone (ringtones can be up to 30 seconds long):

Tap the audio file in the Tracks view, then drag the left or right edge of the frame.

To zoom in for more precise editing, touch and hold either edge.

Once you've selected the section that you want to use, drag the region all the way to the left to make sure there's no blank space before the audio file.

Tap the Navigation button, then tap My Songs.

Enter a name for the ringtone, then tap Export. If the ringtone is longer than 30 seconds, tap Continue to have GarageBand shorten the ringtone automatically. Or tap Cancel to return to the song so you can shorten it .

When the ringtone has finished exporting, tap "Use sound as," then choose an option:

To replace the current general ringtone, tap Standard Ringtone.

To replace the existing general text tone, tap Standard Text Tone.

To associate a ringtone with one of your contacts, tap "Assign to contact," then choose a contact.

To return to the My Songs browser without assigning the ringtone, tap Done.

You can also create your own song to use as a ringtone: play and record built-in Touch Instruments like pianos and synthesizers, add prerecorded beats and other background parts using Apple Loops, and even record yourself playing an instrument or singing.
