The movie isn't even close to as entertaining or as dynamic as the trailer implied. But I wouldn't call it bad or anything. I'd definitely say so if you want what's probably the best acted imo, British crime film. It's a solid 8/10 just for the pub scene.

I love this film, for those beautiful scenes (Reggie with Frances), funny scenes (twins fighting against others, against each other), and savage scenes (Raggie at the end stabbed how many times? ), and of course Tom Hardy's brilliant performance (×2). However, this is still not a great movie. 7.5/10 for me. 1.

It tends to glamorise their criminal lifestyle, glossing over the brutality and impact of their actions on victims and communities. The film also simplifies and alters events for dramatic effect, leading to an incomplete and sometimes misleading portrayal of their true history. Vote.

The movie's main advantage and/or talking point is Tom. Hardy, who plays both twins. Reggie is slick and confident, while Ronnie, a. paranoid schizophrenic with strong sadistic tendencies, is like Lenny in "Of. Mice And Men" if Lenny had been an East London mook, and evil to boot. Both.

Legend offers up an intimate look behind the lives of the infamous Kray twins, who rose to power in the 60s in a bid to rule the London underworld. With particular focus on the charming, slick Reggie Kray, we see this ostensible nightclub owner juggle with his place as an East End gangster, his love for his psychotic brother Ronald, and his burgeoning romance with local girl Frankie.

7/10. Hardy is excellent, the rest is not so much. themadmovieman 9 September 2015. The story of the Kray twins is a fascinating one, full of violence and deceit.
